Jesus us Up! 3 AM

Jesus is Up!

Jesus was arrested at 3 am – 6 am. Jesus rose from the grave on the morning of the first day of the week. Jesus is up!  Because Jesus walked this earth he knows our struggles and the trials we go through. He understands our lives because he walked among us. His love, mercy, and grace are there for us. We all fall short of God’s glory but we need him daily. The difference between the saved and the unsaved has to do with how we process the work of the cross. The nonbeliever that has never accepted Jesus has already been judged and is headed to hell. As a believer who has accepted Jesus, we have settled our account with God through his Son; and we have helped to stay saved. We are not committing the sins that are the wages of sin unto death. When we fall short and sin in our daily lives as Christians we move from righteousness, which is right standing and fellowship with God, to unrighteousness. This is resolved by repenting of our sins and asking God in the name of Jesus to forgive us for those sins that we may commit in our daily walk. But once you have accepted Jesus Christ as Your Lord and Savior, you are on the other side of the cross. You are saved from hell because you accept the price that Jesus paid for all of your sins when He died on the cross, and rose again.

We you accept Jesus in your life you become a new creature. The appetite for sin changes. We still sin but there is no longer the pleasure of sin. The Holy Spirit convicts us and helps us to walk with God. We are not alone in walking with God. We are filled with his Spirit and have power and insight from on high to get through this earth.

“But the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.”  John 14:26

Being a born again Christian filled with the Holy Spirit is the best plan you can have for your life. You have help from every side: God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Word, the heavenly host, and his power. It is in our new covenant for life in Jesus that is filled with rewards and promise from his word. Jesus never said we would not have tribulations or trials in this world, but that he would be with us through them all. The world is still under freewill, meaning that God in His awesome mercy gives people the liberty to choose him or the things of the world. The tree in the Garden of Eden opened us up to the conscious choices of good and evil. Now we are still choosing, but we are presented with the best choice, indeed the top choice of a relationship with God through Jesus. He is a gentleman. He does not force himself on us.

He presents the gospel to us and we are drawn in by the anointing of the Holy Spirit but we all still must choose to reject or receive the work of the cross. The choice of Christ as Savior gives us eternal life

The new deceptions in the church that make many Christians stray away from God are too often caused by not knowing his word, his will, or his Son Jesus. Many people are trying to do something with Jesus. Jesus said follow my teachings and then you shall become my disciples. Believe on him as the son of God. The word of God is a living word. The character of God is in his word. The people in the Bible in the New Testament who encountered Jesus did not have the Bible. They lived among him and saw the miracles he did. The believed! There is a place in the Spirit of God where we experience his presence in prayer. We pray by faith and he answers our prayers. We worship him and he speaks to our hearts. The new church sometimes does not teach faith in God but faith in things. We in recent years have been encouraged to seek riches, houses, cars, and wealth instead of seeking the kingdom of God and his righteousness. The fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ gives us so much more than just things.

The New Covenant in him is better than the former covenant in the Old Testament. He is amazing in giving us peace in the storm, love in the midst of a hating world, and revelation in the midst of darkness. It is in his will to help and guide us through the earth so that we glorify him. We are not all pastors or called to preach in great churches. But our daily walk in loving him and sharing the gospel with lost souls is rewarding to the heart. The good news is Jesus.

The greatest miracle is when a darkened hurt heart of a man, woman, or child comes to the cross of Jesus Christ and gets redeemed by his blood and power. When the heart is transformed there is victory, as we walk closer to God through his Son Jesus.

Through all the trials we have been through in this life and all the things we have seen even at 3 am his power and love has always been there and has never changed. The greatest joy for us in life is not waking up at 3 am and praying but of being able, through Jesus Christ, to come to God every hour, every second of the day in prayer and to know that he is there.

No matter what fallen angels stand in the wilderness, what beasts come in the night, or tormenting spirits that try to gain access to your life, you have the victory. As you trust in Jesus you have power to stand and prevail. One of the weapons of warfare is to stand. It even says when all you can do is to stand, then stand some more. Standing for Christ and standing when it appears that you will be knocked down is the victory we need daily in our lives. Another weapon of warfare is prayer. Praying always is a key to victory in this life that Jesus gave us. We should pray always, when we need to pray. When we have problems, we should pray. When we want to bless God’s name we should pray. When we want to worship and praise him, we should pray. When we want to pray for others who are hurting we should pray. It is not how many times we pray, but the attitude of praying that shows faith in God. God who answers prayers. Prayer is the key whether it is at 3 am or 5 pm we should pray. I always cry out to the   Lord teach me how to pray. Teach me your ways I ask him. Teach me of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Guide my life and use it for your glory. Men should always pray. Women should always pray. If we pray we can turn things around and we walk out his power in our lives.

“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.   Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.   Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtor   and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

“Matthew 6:10-13
