It Takes Faith!

It Takes Faith

blue-dress-children-clouds-daisy-field-flower-field-Favim_com-37776Pray with faith. Do not pray with doubt or disbelief. That can be done without the Holy Spirit help and with Jesus. Anyone can pray the prayer of doubt. Anyone can pray the prayer of disbelief. However, as believer we can pray the prayer of faith because Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith. He gives you faith when you are saved and in the Holy Spirit. He gives us faiths as we believe in him. Faith is from heaven. It is not from earth. The earth did not create faith… God did. So since he created faith, he know how through the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus to have it execute in us for the victory. We were created to believe!

We get in the way of faith with disbelief. Through the brokenness, we go through in the world God is always cleansing us from the thing that hinder us from the fullness of God in our spirit, souls, and mind. That where the battle is in prayer. I have taught my kids over the years the real battle is not demons throwing things or moving stuff across the room. The battle is in the mind. The battle is in the soul. The battle is with spirit. The combination of these three platforms can vary sometimes. Sometime the real battle is just trying to believe and stay in faith everyday that thing will work out. The real battle is in the mind. The more we renew our mind in Christ we have the victor. That means we have to grow our thinking into Christ through reading his word and believing. It starts with reading the word and praying.

In the New Testament, they wrote the bible by their experience with Christ. The people during Jesus time did not have the bible…. they lived it. They had the law. Jesus did away with the law and became the new covenant we have with God through him.

book-cute-light-little-lot-Favim_com-230335They knew who Jesus was by what they experience with their mind, soul, and spirit. They witness his suffering for our sins. The first recorded of the bible’s New Testament epistles was wrote around 60 AD. Jesus was on the scene in 7-2 BC to about 30 AD. Some 30+ years later, the work of Jesus on the cross, his resurrection, miracles, and teaching with the apostles and their disciples were written. The apostles and the disciples’ of the apostles wrote the New Testament gospels. His ministry was only about three years long, but will last for all eternity. They people in the bible days believe God’s word on what they witness and heard of who Jesus was. Their lives where change because they believes in what they witness. In other words, the word of God was the living word Jesus Christ.

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.” John 1:14-18

There were not reading the bible about Jesus…they saw him daily. They experience him and can you! I say that because many in the body of Christ rely on the written word and the living word in prayer. If you were blind, could you believe without being able to read? Of you were deaf, Could you believes without hearing?

For those who may be offended by me stating that the word is not greater than the living words a taught in many church…. Jesus is the word brought to life! The word of God and the living never contradict. What you read in the word is made alive in the living word of Jesus. The Holy Spirit, the word of God and Jesus will always be on one accord. In prayer, God can tell you his will and it will line up with the word of God and his promises. Therefore, he can reach you any way he needs to! Let the Holy Spirit lead you!
